  • ✅ HTML Report Configuration (directory = htmlcov)
  • ✅ XML Report Configuration (output = coverage.xml)
  • ✅ JSON Report Configuration (output = coverage.json)
  • ✅ Path Mapping (for CI/CD compatibility)

Coverage Targets:

  • Overall: ≥ 80%
  • Domain Layer: ≥ 90%
  • Application Layer: ≥ 85%
  • Infrastructure Layer: ≥ 70%
  • Presentation Layer: ≥ 75%

5. Test Directory Structure ✅

Verification Tests

Test Execution Results

Command: pytest tests/test_framework_setup.py -v

Results:

✅ test_pytest_works - PASSED
✅ test_pytest_asyncio_works - PASSED
✅ test_hypothesis_works - PASSED
✅ test_fixtures_available - PASSED
✅ test_markers_configured - PASSED
✅ test_coverage_can_be_measured - PASSED

Total: 6 passed in 0.58s

Coverage Measurement Test

Command: pytest tests/test_framework_setup.py --cov=src --cov-report=term-missing

Results:

  • ✅ Coverage measurement works correctly
  • ✅ Coverage report generated successfully
  • ✅ Coverage threshold enforcement works (fail_under = 80%)
  • ⚠️ Current coverage: 0.00% (expected - no source code tests yet)

Logging Test

Command: pytest tests/test_framework_setup.py --log-file=tests/logs/pytest.log -v

Results:

  • ✅ Log file created successfully at tests/logs/pytest.log
  • ✅ Test execution logged correctly

Marker Test

Command: pytest tests/test_framework_setup.py -v --tb=short -m "not slow"

Results:

  • ✅ Marker filtering works correctly
  • ✅ All 6 tests collected and passed

Feature Verification Checklist

Required Features (from Task 1.4)

  • Install testing dependencies (pytest, pytest-asyncio, pytest-cov, hypothesis, httpx)
  • Create tests/conftest.py with global test fixtures
  • Create pytest.ini with test options and markers
  • Configure coverage reporting

Additional Features Implemented

  • Test directory structure (unit/, integration/, e2e/, fixtures/)
  • Comprehensive test documentation (README.md)
  • Test framework verification tests
  • Logging configuration for tests
  • Automatic marker assignment based on test location
  • Mock fixtures for future implementation

Requirements Validation

Requirement 7.6: THE RAG_System SHALL support in CI/CD pipeline中自动运行测试

Validation:

  • ✅ pytest configured for CI/CD execution
  • ✅ Coverage reporting configured (XML format for CI/CD)
  • ✅ Test markers allow selective test execution
  • ✅ Logging configured for CI/CD environments
  • ✅ All tests can run independently and in parallel (when pytest-xdist is used)

Next Steps

The testing framework is now ready for use. The following tasks can proceed:

  1. Task 1.3 - Write configuration management unit tests
  2. Task 1.6 - Write logging system tests
  3. Phase 2 - Write domain layer tests
  4. Phase 3 - Write application layer tests
  5. Phase 4 - Write infrastructure layer integration tests
  6. Phase 5 - Write API end-to-end tests

Usage Examples

Run All Tests

pytest

Run Unit Tests Only

pytest -m unit

Run with Coverage

pytest --cov=src --cov-report=html --cov-report=term

Run Property-Based Tests

pytest -m property

Run Tests in Parallel

pip install pytest-xdist
pytest -n auto

Conclusion

Task 1.4 建立测试框架 is COMPLETE

All required components have been successfully installed, configured, and verified. The testing framework is ready for use in the RAG System refactoring project.
